It is very important that the dimension should incorporate with the geometry. To save time some users edit the dimension instead of modifying the geometry.
In the below image you can see 4 dimensions, in that 2 of them are edited ,if you have lots of dimensions it is not easy to find out which dimension is correct and which one is edited.
There is a command in EXPRESS tools called RESET DIM TEXT VALUE
Command : DIMREASSOC
Pulldown Menu : EXPRESS -> DIMENSION -> RESET DIM TEXT VALUE
Steps:
- When you load command you will be prompted to “Select Objects: “
- Select dimensions or type “ALL”
- Now you can see the autocad has selected the dimension that are needed to reset
- Press Enter to reset text Dimension value.

- (If you want to review the modified dimensions please use select previous command to change its layer or color)
